Funding News

MindSpec renewed its funding from the Simons Foundation to complete Phase II of AutDB.  This new phase of development will implement a new annotation model of the Human Gene module, including such features as ASD-specific mutations and a gene scoring system.  AutDB is licensed to the Simons Foundation as SFARI Gene.

Awarded funding by the Simons Foundation to catalogue submicroscopic structural duplications, deletions and rearrangements in the genome called copy number variants (CNVs) that are implicated in autism spectrum disorders

MindSpec received funding for AutDB from the Simons Foundation after MindSpec Founder/President Sharmila Banerjee Basu presented AutDB at their DataBase Workshop in New York in September 2007.  Other presenters at the workshop included Lars Bertram (Harvard Medical School), Jonathan Sebat (Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory), and Yves Lussier (University of Chicago Cancer Research Center).
